Phil Nicolo Presents an Evening of Stories and Rare Music
Join us for an evening with Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer extraordinaire Phil Nicolo. Phil is the proprietor of Studio 4, which was originally located in Philadelphia and is currently in Conshohocken, PA. This will be a rare opportunity to hear him tell stories about some of the renowned artists he has worked with over the years as well as ask some questions. He will also share some never-before-heard music from his extensive personal collection. This evening will surely entertain any music fan and is not just for those in the business.
More about Phil: Phil has been nominated for 4 Grammy awards, and won for mixing and mastering The Spanish Harlem Orchestra. While maintaining a busy stable of multi-platinum artists, he continues to work with cutting edge talent. Phil has worked with many renowned artists too many to list them all but they include Aerosmith, Cypress Hill, Bob Dylan, Amy Grant, The Hooters, Billy Joel, Diana Ross and Sting. He is also a primary force in the local collective David Uosikkinen's In the Pocket and works with other local artists as well.
In addition to achieving long-lasting success in many different genres in the music business, he has attained renown as an educator. He received the 2003 Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Award, placing him in the Temple University Communication Hall of Fame, where he teaches as an adjunct professor. Phil received a Bachelor of Science from Temple University in 1977.
Phil sits on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), and is a member of the Recording Academy's steering committee for the Producer and Engineer wing.
