Nomadic Supper- Rural Meets Urban

The Side Yard Farm & Kitchen brings seed to plate nomadic brunches and suppers to ANY Portland location, sometimes in the middle of nowhere, perhaps the forest, a cornfield or a city sidewalk. Picture a handcrafted, family-style wooden table filled with 20 folks in the middle of Portland's bounty. Enjoy a multi-course meal based around what is growing at the farm and foraged goods from the supper location.

Join us on Wednesday, July 17th for a nomadic supper experience at Gales Meadow Farm in Forest Grove. A late evening supper in a high tunnel in the middle of the farm. Serving up three family style courses, dessert and wine pairing highlighting the seasonal bounty of the rural lands of Forest Grove and the urban lots of NE Portland. Wine will be sourced from the supper area and from an urban winery in Portland. Cheese will also be from the supper area and from the NE Cully neighborhood.

Chef/ Farmer Stacey Givens of The Side Yard is the magical combination of an urban farmer and chef. Based in Northeast Portland's Cully Neighborhood, herself along with dedicated volunteers grow diverse vegetables on two urban lots. She sells her harvests to local restaurants, including Cocotte, Grain & Gristle, and Ned Ludd, in what she calls "chef-to-chef" produce service.
