Culture Shock/Slow Food Dinner & a Movie
The Slow Food movement has been doing hand to hand combat with the fast-food lifestyle in communities across the world. Join us for a BBQ hamburger dinner (lamb or beef burger options) hosted by the Shasta Cascade Slow Food Convivium. Lamb and beef come from sustainable farmed Big Bluff Ranch in Red Bluff and Prather Ranch in Redding! Produce from Churn Creek Meadow Organic Farm! Catering by local Chef Duane of Duzie's Culinary Company! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and watch an outdoor showing of "The Real Dirt on Farmer John," about a quirky farmer's quest to turn his family farm organic. Dinner tickets also available at the Turtle Bay Visitor Center. Turtle Bay and Slow Food members $14, nonmembers $15. Please present membership card at the door. North Star Brewery, and local wines also available. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, Sept. 26. Our Chef needs a headcount!
