THE FARM TO FERMENTATION FESTIVAL is one of a kind in Sonoma County. It is a celebration of farm fresh products and the beneficial process of fermentation to preserve them. Attendees will DISCOVER, LEARN, and TASTE a vast world of fermented delicacies. In addition, there will be presentations for attendees to learn to create these foods and beverages at home. Some of the classes that will be offered include how to make Sauerkraut, Kimchi, Yogurt, Water Kefir, Ginger Bug Sodas, Kombucha, Kvass, Beer and much more!
As a fast-growing culinary craze, fermentation is being discussed around every corner. After attending this event, you will be on your way to being as comfortable fermenting as you are cooking, grilling or baking. Sustainably speaking, there's no wonder why this interest is becoming more popular among mainstream culinarians. The Sonoma County chefs, backyard farmers and DIY-ers have caught on: fermentation is THE traditional way to preserve foods. The added value is nutrient dense and complex-flavored foods which add beneficial bacteria to our body's flora.
This year, we have also added the opportunity to purchase a bracelet to the Libation Lounge and make a $20 donation to Ales for Autism. Join us to sip and celebrate fermentation while supporting a great cause! With purchase of Libation Lounge ticket, a general admission pass is included.
Full presentation schedule will be up 1 week prior to event on www.farmtofermentation.com. Check website for updates about this year's event.
