Rip Current Meet-the-Brewer Private Dinner
Created by our own Jay Drose (bartender and certified cicerone) comes a relaxed, five course private dinner featuring the west coast-style beers from 'Rip Current' brewing. Award winning home brewer and brewmaster Paul Sangster/Guy Shobe will join us for this dinner to talk about the brewing philosophy that inspired each selection.
Every beer will be thoughtfully matched with each food course crafted by Jay; on top of that, each diner will receive a keeper pint glass created for the occasion.
1st Course Citrus and Avocado Salad with Crispy Goat Cheese (paired with sURGEing currents - first release of the new session IPA colloboration between Urge and Rip Current) Tangerine Vinagrette, Mixed Greens, Grapefruit, Avocado, Crispy Fried Herb Goat Cheese
2nd Course Yellow Curry Fried Shrimp (paired with Wave RYEder Pale Ale) Bed of Arugula, Crispy Shrimp, Preserved Lemon
3rd Course Seared Duck Breast with Sweet Mash (paired with Lupulin Lust DIPA) Sweet Potato Mash, Three Spice Rub, Passionfruit Reduction
4th Course Nutella Mousse (paired with both Hazelnut Porter and Rescue Buoy Imperial Stout) Dark Chocolate, Hazelnuts, Nutella!
5th Course A few cheese selections from 'Brothers Provisions,' served family style with a few more Rip Current selections.
