Presenter's Bio
Leo Salcé, Intl Assoc AIA, LEED AP, is a Senior Consultant with Microdesk. He specializes in Building Information Modeling technology implementation for Architecture and Engineering firms both nationally and internationally. Leo is an expert on strategic CAD/BIM planning, standards development and multi-platform integration, helping firms to leverage existing and emerging design and construction technology. Leo is a designer with over 12 years of experience in building design and BIM/CAD management working on a variety of projects throughout the U.S. and abroad, ranging from high end residential to commercial and retail. He has served as a technology advisor partner to hundreds of AEC firms, providing planning, training and technical methodology strategies on a wide range of AEC platform solutions. In 2000, he founded LSTUDIO, a design visualization studio specializing in architectural renderings and animations. Leo holds degrees in Architecture and Computer Science from Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic, where he is also a Registered Architect. He is an active educator, speaker and published writer on Building Information Modeling and sustainable design techniques.
