Zuul / Dawnbringer/ Borrowed Time @ the Red Line Tap
Dawnbringer:
Though its origins may be as old as 1995, it wasn't until 2010's breakout album 'Nucleus' that DAWNBRINGER became known outside of the heavy metal boutique underground. Thanks to new label home Profound Lore Records and the studio expertise of Sanford Parker, DAWNBRINGER was able to present an album in a way that matched the grand scale of its music and lyrics. 2011 found the band back on a concert stage after 13 years in seclusion, and on the heels of 2012's ambitious concept album 'Into the Lair of the Sun God', the band has continued to perform live, albeit on a limited basis. DAWNBRINGER will make its final appearance of 2013 on September 16th at Red Line Tap in Chicago, before retiring to write its next album.
Members of Dawnbringer consist of Chris Black and guitarist, Matt Johnsen from esteemed acts such as Nachtmystium, Pharaoh and Superchrist. They play a fusion of NWOBHM, black metal and classic heavy-thrash.
