The Humours Of Bandon
Margaret McCauliffes One-Woman Play - April 18th
The ICSA is delighted to join with NYCs Irish Arts Center for the second time, bringing you another example of the best in Irish drama!! On Thursday, April 18, doors open at 7:30 PM, Show at 8pm, Margaret McCauliffe, directly following her run at New Yorks IAC, will be on stage at the Whitneyville Cultural Commons with her one-woman play, The Humours of Bandon, produced by Fishamble.
Dont be afraid of that floor, hammer it!? Nobody knows where their 5-year-old will take that first, after-school activity. To the surprise of her mother, Annie takes it all the way to the top echelons of the Irish Dancing Championships. We meet Dubliner Annie on the eve of the biggest competition of her teenage life, her burning desire to win - shared only by her teacher, as her mother watches on with bewilderment and pride. Will she win and if so, in what way?
Margarets brilliant performance provides all with an evening of unparalleled entertainment but this show is a MUST-SEE for anyone who is or has been an Irish dancer, knows an Irish dancer, or has been an ever-supportive parent of an Irish dancer.
Mark your calendar now for April 18th. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com - search Humours of Bandon - $20.
