Rooftop Sonata
Holden Gillis, self-proclaimed gadfly, bon vivant, man about town, has reached his golden years and has determined his life hasn't amounted to 'a hill of beans'... so now it's time to fly away. However, before he takes his inevitable plunge to the dirt farm that awaits him seven stories down... he must listen to those apparitions closest to him as they attempt (to various degrees) to defend his life.
Often comic and filled with gallows humor, ROOFTOP SONATA ultimately reaffirms that life is worth living!
Pat Yates, a native New Yorker, has been an adjunct professor of theater at The New School for 25 years. Professor Yates developed Rooftop Sonata this past summer at The Theater for a New City in Manhattan under the auspices of Mary Tierney.
This will be the premier production of the play... please join us!
