Jay Rogers Redux - Presented by TWEED.
This show is part of "Sundays @ Seven", a series presented by TWEED Theater Works, Kevin Malony artistic director.
"Jay Rogers Redux" may please the ears of those who enjoy listening to interesting, little known tunage and crazy song stylings. With the help of John McMahon on the piano, Jay will sing and tell stories about his involvement with a wide panoply of characters! Songs for happy ears include hits (and some misses) from some of the many programs in which he has appeared: "When Pigs Fly"! "Whoop-Dee-Do!" "Lypsinka IS Harriet Craig"! "Keith Thompson's Kooky Tunes"! Monday In The Dark With George"! La Gran Scena Opera Co. di New York"! Cleavage"!
Perhaps best known for his Drama Desk Award-nominated work in Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly, Jay Rogers was also an original cast member of Howard Crabtree's earlier revue, Whoop-De-Doo!, Favorite NY roles range from his work in numerous Theatre TWEED productions; to Mr. Charles (U/S) in The Lincoln Center production of Paul Rudnick's The New Century; to Roscoe in the original company of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens. In addition, Jay has also won multiple MAC and Bistro Awards for his hit one-man shows, Yes! This Is My Real Voice, Broccolihead, Sucker and Eat, Drink and Be Mary!
