Hank Stone Band, Sushi Savant & Grand Folk Railroad in Concert
Grand Folk Railroad, Sushi Savant and Hank Stone Band are three of Long Island's finest groups of musicians dedicated to performing original music in styles uniquely their own. Each band has a particular sound that sets them apart, endearing them to their audiences. From Americana to Rock-Folk and everything in between, this will be a night of musical journeys that is not to be missed!
HANK STONE BAND: Hank Stone has been writing songs since the Stone Age. He played in Rock bands, has hung out with some rough Folk, gets Jazzed up sometimes, has visited the Country, and has even been known to act somewhat Classical at times. So you never know quite what to expect when he hits the stage. Except that it will be heartfelt, witty, and entertaining. He has been known to sing songs about crayons, dogs, murder, and the Big Bang, all in one set. Todd Evans plays guitar and resonating guitar, Mike Christian plays bass, and Gary Settoducato beats the drums. Together they make up the rest of Hank Stone Band, and they help Hank be even more Hank. Songs about trains, trees, rivers? Rabbits, Nobel Prize winners and Green Tea? They got you covered.
SUSHI SAVANT: Sushi Savant is a Long Island band comprised of John Tabacco, Joe Gioglio, Jim Pastor and Gary Settoducato. Established in January 2016, the crew currently have a set list of 40 original songs and a dozen covers that fit in with their alt rock/eclectic rock style. Egalitarian by nature, Jim, John and Joe trade off the helm, each leading the band in their own songs, and all the while Gary dials in beats from his vast library of righteous grooves. This unique arrangement makes for a wide range of style, tempo and attitude - jazz rock, grunge, indie, funk, blues, and rap all show up in the mix.
GRAND FOLK RAILROAD: With a make-every-note-count approach to performing, a vast eclectic repertoire, questionable regard for folk music traditions and a variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, melodica, ukuele, upright, electric and Ashbory (rubber stringed) bass, and a one-of-a-kind suitcase drum kit, Grand Folk Railroad blurs the lines between pop, rock, folk and singer/songwriter genres. Susan Schwartz-Christian, Mike Christian, Frank Doris and Bill Resvanis will knock your socks off!
