In contrast and in tandem with our fall Harvest Party, and as the second in the "Gather for the Good" event series, we bring to you our 2nd annual spring civic celebration, Fiddlehead Fest!
This family friendly, full-scale botanical festival features an amazing line up of musicians, artists, wildcrafters, educators, and great local food; and of course, ciders. An environment to learn more about our invasive species utilization efforts, learn and taste the use of botanicals in foods and beverages, and why the spring is host to the most important ingredient in our wild harvested & wild fermented ciders.
Listen and engage with some of our hard working locally influential non-profits such as, School Garden Project, Beyond Toxics, and Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah as well as great sustainable, wild resource driven businesses like Mountain Rose Herbs, Mycological, and more.
We are proud to offer a product that is part of a locally renewable practice that demonstrates that it is possible to work together to harmoniously achieve goals of land restoration while rolling out what used to be wasted ingredients into something that is both thoughtfully crafted, wildly clean and delicious, and we can do this without the reliance of industrial, off-shore, and out-of-state ingredients. This vision would not be made possible without the shared activism, steadfast and supportive relationships of some outstanding non-profit and for-profit organizations and their talented and dedicated teams. We are excited to find ways to continue to expand these visions and the community around it.
Spring Up and Roll out!
Please join us on Friday April 26th & Saturday April 27th for our 2nd annual Fiddlehead Festival. With live music all day from artists such as World's Finest, The Sugar Beets, Petunia & The Vipers, Jason Webley, Cedar Teeth, Brandelyn Rose Band! The event is family friendly with free all ages activities till 7pm with arts, crafts, games and classes all built around the celebration of local spring botanicals.
The Fiddlehead Fest also celebrates the participants of our Community "For the Love of Lilac drive. We invite the community to bring in your lilacs in exchange for cider or house sodas, with a percentage of product sale proceeds going to School Garden Project. You can redeem one pound of flowers for one pint of cider or juice at our Ciderhouse. Four lbs. gets you a growler with the fill or a ticket to both nights of The Fiddlehead Fest, if you are lucky enough to have the early blooms!
