March 2019 LAI Luncheon
Two of San Franciscos most prolific brokers share their insights on the state of the Bay Area marketplace, and trends they anticipate for 2019. Liz Hart draws on her experience transacting leases with some of the Bay Areas largest tech tenants, including Uber, Stripe, Pinterest, and Zendesk, to provide an inside look at the real estate challenges that tech tenants seek solutions for. ELIZABETH HART Elizabeth Hart joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2005. She specializes in advising technology and venture clients on their real estate needs. She also works with landlords to attract technology tenants to their buildings.
Ms. Hart's experience representing technology companies, from single entrepreneurs to members of the Fortune 500, enables her to anticipate the specific real estate challenges a company faces at each stage of its growth cycle. Her experience working at a startup provides her with insight on how decisions are made and the type of culture that startups seek to cultivate. Ms. Hart is also well versed in San Francisco's zoning and entitlement processes, giving her insights on the city's future that she shares with her clients.
Ms. Hart was one of the Top Five Producers in Newmark Knight Frank's San Francisco office in 2007 and from 2010 to 2015. She ranked among the Top 20 Producers in 2011 and Top 10 Producers from 2013 to 2015. In November 2015, she was named one of the Top 20 US Office Leasing Brokers by Real Estate Forum.
MICHAEL TAQUINO Michael Taquino is an executive vice president at CBRE, specializing in investment and development sales in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Taquino excels at underwriting assets, understanding real estate trends and successfully closing transactions on behalf of his clients. He consistently ranks among the top producers in the San Francisco office.
Mr. Taquino began his real estate career in 2003, working in the commercial appraisal division of CBRE in San Francisco. In this capacity, Mr. Taquino was responsible for the valuation of office, industrial and retail assets across the San Francisco bay area. He made the transition to commercial real estate brokerage in 2004 with Grubb & Ellis in San Francisco Area. He then worked at Newmark until September of 2018.
