The Wild & Scenic Film Festival held each January in Nevada City, California is a kick-off for Wild & Scenic On Tour which travels to more than 100 communities and continues to grow every year. The films are too good, and the messages too powerful to keep to a single community.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a call to action. At Wild & Scenic, film-goers are transformed into a congregation of committed activists, dedicated to saving our increasingly threatened planet. The film festival film selections include environmental and adventure films that illustrate the Earth's beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities around the world are doing to protect the environment. Through film, Wild & Scenic On Tour is building a grassroots network connected by a common goal to inspire people and unite communities to heal the earth.
ROSA 4 ROCKLAND is committed to giving a voice to the land and the residents in the Rockland/Orange/Bergen County areas facing increasing development pressure that is encroaching on the some of the most environmentally sensitive parcels of land left in the areas. Join ROSA for an evening of short films suitable for the whole family that will inspire the community to maintain the beautify that makes our communities so desirable to live in.
