Festival of Women Composers - Hildegard: The Story of the Soul
Hildegard von Bingen was an abbess, a philosopher, a mystic, a musician, and the first named Western composer who wrought imaginative and colorful music from simple means in the 12th century. The Arizona Mountain Chorale presents her masterpiece, Ordo Virtutum, a morality play more than 850 years old, with semi-staging by NAU faculty Patricia McKee that is both true to the original work and accessible to all kinds of todays concertgoers.
