2019 Pacific Coast Norwegian Singers Concert
Grand concert of the Pacific Coast Norwegian Singer's Association Sangerfest. This is the 110th Sangerfest of the PCNSA and is hosted by the Eugene Norsemen chorus.
This concert will feature Norwegian, Scandinavian, and American music continuing the tradition of our forefathers who pioneered this tradition in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The Norsemen were founded in 1939 and are the resident chorus of Sons of Norway Sonja Lodge in Eugene. The Norsemen joined the PCNSA in 1958 and hosted their first Sangerfest in 1959. The Norsemen rehearse Mondays at 7:30pm at Sons of Norway Sonja Lodge at 710 McKinley in Eugene, Oregon and are always welcome to new members.
Featured guest artist is accomplished Brazilian pianist Ednaldo Borba.
Our Director-In-Chief is Erik Eliason of the Everett Norwegian Male Chorus. Assistant Director-In-Chief is Ed Amundson of the Eugene Norsemen.
Soloists include Ed Amundson for Norge, Mitt Norge (Norway, My Norway) and Peter Butler for Landkjenning (Land Sighting).
Concert accompanist is Jeffrey Highland.
