23rd Annual SDCCU Festival of Arts in North Park Craft Beer Block
The Craft Beer Block at the SDCCU Festival of Arts, located on University Avenue and Ohio street & open from 11am-10pm, will host 30 different types of beer from 16 local craft breweries such as North Park Beer Co., Hess, Thorn Street and many others. There will also be organic wine selections and canned specialty cocktails by Cutwater Spirits. The Craft Beer Block offers better than average festival food by seeking out the best prepared food vendors from local farmers markets. This year the selection will include, Dang Brothers Pizza, Freidas Tacos and Bread and Cheese grilled sandwiches, all served freshly cooked to order. The La Fayette Stage, located in the Craft Beer Block, will showcase some of the best local talent around town with music playing all day and into the night. Check the website for up-to-date information on the bands. There are a few different options in the Craft Beer Block for those looking to enjoy beer. A sample ticket is offered for $27 that provides 13 four ounce samples. All 30 options are available with this ticket. Full-pour 16 ounce beers are also for sale for $6. There is no charge to enter the Craft Beer Block, but an RSVP will get participants entered to win a Giant Escape 3 bike from North Park Bikes! Must be 21 or over to win. One RSVP per person please. The SDCCU Festival of Arts in North Park has many things to see and do. The Craft Beer Block is just one of them. This is a great event for groups of friends, families and people who travel solo. The streets are filled with activity, music, food and art. Its a great way to spend a day in San Diegos hippest neighborhood.
