Bellingham Puppetry Guild and the Alternative Library present a full weekend of puppet shows, mask performances, and storytelling for All Ages! Three evenings of performances and storytelling from local and regional puppeteers, animators, mask performers, authors and more!
Thursday, March 21st at 7:30pm - The Alternative Library hosts their monthly Open Stage cohosted by Eve Smason and Max Eberhard, local puppeteer of PappenSpiel fame. We'll also have performances from Seattle's Adam Ende of Jawbone Puppet Theatre, performing a series of short sketches.
Friday, March 22nd at 7:30pm A night of wild and weird puppetry with performances from Olympia-based immersive puppet collective, String & Shadow Puppet Theater, shadow puppet and dance vignettes from the local Shadow Sail Theater, and feature-length shows from both Jawbone Puppet Theatre and PappenSpiel!
Saturday, March 23rd at 7:30pm Storytelling and felted and papercut sculptures fill this night with readings and performances from local children's book author and illustrator, Phoebe Wahl and touring author GennaRose Nethercott, with an expansive crankie animation, an entirely other show from String and Shadow Puppet Theater, and needle-felted animation from Port Townsend-based animator, Andrea Love.
