Event
CANCELLED - Les Dames d'Escoffier/Midwest Dairy Council Midwest Dairy Summit
Can dairy be a part of your healthy lifestyle? ABSOLUTELY!! Get up close and personal with area dieticians and local farmers to learn why buying local dairy can be beneficial to both your health AND the local economy! Through a panel and engaging discussions, we'll learn from our participating dieticians about the good things dairy can add to our diets. And three local family dairy farms - Marcoot Creamery, Scheer Farms and Donna Telle Farms - will share how the importance of buying local is both good for you and the economy, as well as how they continue to improve environmental sustainability.
Refreshments will include artisan cheeses from Marcoot Creamery, flash-churned liquid-nitrogen ice cream from Dame Darla Crask of Ices Plain & Fancy and a dairy-centric menu item from the Saint Louis University Pastry Chef. Dame Whitney Linsenmeyer, PHD, RD, LD will moderate.
