José André at JoJo's Restaurant
Join the José André Trio at JoJos Restaurant on March 18 to celebrate José André's birthday with a special evening of music and fun. He will be joined by Eliot Seppa on bass, Kelton Norris on drums, and special guests.
Bolivian pianist José André is a blind musician who flavors his tunes with Latin rhythms and jazz harmonies. He learned to play the piano at an early age. At 8, he made his first international appearance in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and at 9 he performed at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He also has had appearances in Rome, Kuala Lumpur, and Finland. In the Washington area, he has performed at Mr. Henry's, Blues Alley, Alice's Jazz and Cultural Society, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, the DC Jazz Festival, Bethesda Blues and Jazz, and other venues.
