Is there anything more exciting, frightening and utterly transformational than impending parenthood? "Baby," the musical from acclaimed duo Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire, examines how parents-to-be experience the emotional stresses and triumphs, as well as the desperate lows and the comic highs that accompany the anticipation and arrival of a baby. We focus on three couples on a University Campus: there are the twenty-something college students, barely at the beginning of their adult lives; the thirty-somethings, having trouble conceiving but determined to try; and the middle-aged (is forty-something middle aged?) parents, looking forward to seeing their last child graduate from college. In the opening number, all three couples find out that they are pregnant! What ensues is a joyous, painful, rewarding and agonizingly funny journey through the ensuing nine months. A glorious script with amazing music that lets cast and audience alike share in the universal experience of pregnancy and upcoming parenthood. Rated PG.

The play runs March 29- April 14, 2019. Performances are Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m.; Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m.; Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m.

All performances are in an intimate, cabaret-style theatre, with refreshments including beer, wine & specialty cocktails available before & during all shows.
