Martin Chalifour and Friends
Several rising young musicians join violinist Martin Chalifour, principal concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, for a concert of chamber music including Bartóks Contrasts for violin, clarinet, and piano (originally commissioned by Benny Goodman); Mozarts glorious Clarinet Quintet; and works by Schubert and Bach. The ensemble features Elizabeth Dorman, piano; Moran Katz, clarinet; and Sarah Rommel, cello. Violist Jonathan Moerschel of the Calder Quartet is also featured.
