An Evening of Playback Theatre
The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble is an interactive improvisational theatre company that enacts real life personal stories, on the spot. Join us at Dance Mission Theater on Saturday March 30th and experience first hand the power and delight of Playback Theatre! On this special evening of improvisational storytelling, audience members are invited to share personal stories, feelings, experiences, and memories.
The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble is a nonprofit theater company that offers improvisational performances and workshops for community groups, businesses, and individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 1986, we have worked with schools, hospitals, organizations, social justice and activist groups, religious communities, conferences, private events like weddings, birthdays, and milestones, as well as for the general public throughout our fall and spring seasons. At the heart of our work is a profound respect for the power of personal story to build bridges between people and cultures.

The Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble has been invited to perform at an international playback theater conference in India in December 2019. We've also been asked to lead a workshop on the process Armand calls, Healing the Wounds of History. This work focuses on building EMPATHY between historical enemies through playback. With Armand's leadership, playbackers from 50 different countries will learn this process and IMPACT audiences worldwide. But, we have to fund the trip ourselves.
If you are able to purchase a sliding scale ticket, you'll be investing in PEACE during a time of deep division in our country and beyond. You'll be sending us to India to learn from other artists and healers. For you, community, we are deeply grateful!
