Lorrie Ruiz has been performing for over 25 years as a featured vocalist. Her debut cd of originals Chewy was very well received. She is currently performing original funk/jazz with Hammond B3 player, Joe Doria, Guitarist Danny Godinez, Bassist Farko Dosumov, and Drummer Scott Goodwin.
Lorrie has been a featured performer at the prestigious Jazz Alley, Sonarchy Radio, and was further able to develop her vocals while performing in the Total Experience Gospel Choir. She has worked with the legendary likes of George Cables and some of the Northwests most exciting artists. She and Joe Doria have also performed with Keyboardist Kent Halvorsen, Drummer Shane Peck, and Violinists Alina To, Janet Utterback-Peck and Karen Halliburton singing lead and arranging for the dedication project BjorkOde. She received her BA in music from Seattles Cornish College of the Arts. As a voice teacher, she has been teaching music theory, voice, and composition since 1997. Additional production credits include music and media scoring for Microsofts Expedia Travel commercial media, and Music Director for Bainbridge and Seattle musical productions.
