Indiana Master Naturalist

Learn about Indianas natural resources from flowers to frogs and dunes to swamps. Understand how diverse and unique the Great Lakes region truly is. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a love for the outdoors who is wishing to expand their knowledge of plants, wildlife and other natural resources in Indiana. Each week a new topic is presented by expert(s) of the respective field. A few may lead class outdoors- time and weather permitting. Upon completion of the ten week course, students are required to volunteer 30 hours to become certified Indiana Master Naturalists through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. This 10-week course will run from 8 am-11am on Saturday mornings from April 6th through June 15th (no class on April 13th) in the Railway Depot. This program is offered to anyone over the age of 18. Class Schedule: https://www.pnw.edu/gabis-arboretum/my-calendar/?mc_id=60

Class Cancellation and Refund Policy

Registration and payment for Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest classes must be completed 1 week prior to the program date.

Refunds are not permitted. Class registration may be transferable. Participants will be issued a full refund in the event that Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest cancels a class for any reason. Those registered will be notified 1 week prior to the program date if there is a cancellation.
