Reviving Old World Tradition with New World Innovation
On Tuesday March 5th, at 7pm these three Spanish producers will host an intimate, educational seminar and tasting of their products at the Barnyard classroom. Hailing from 2 queserias and a very unique and unconventional olive oil estate, each of these producers has a very unique story with one common thread- all have gone to great lengths to revive food traditions in their respective region, and have incorporated and embraced modern techniques where necessary, while maintaining true to tradition and authentic flavor.
Featuring: Juan Figueroa of Finca Pascualete -raw, sheeps milk cheeses from Extremadura, Spain Juan Luis Royuela of Royuela Cheese Company raw or thermalized Guadarrama goats milk cheeses from the hills outside of Madrid, Spain and Sandro Gamzo of Belvis de las Navas Estate- organic olive oil from an incredible, ancient estate where uncatalogued olive varietals have been growing wild since the Moors occupied Spain
Presentation will be led and discussion mediated by Elena Santogade, representing Rogers Collection- top-quality cheese and ingredient importers for over 25 years.
