Castle Green Spring Home Tour
The friends of the Castle Green invite you to come and celebrate the 120th year of the historic Castle Green located in Old Town Pasadena.
New this year! JACK'S CATS will be playing swing and jazz all afternoon so put on your dancing shoes or just sit back and listen in the lovely grounds of the Castle Green
Situated between Raymond Avenue and Fair Oaks Blvd., at the gateway to Old Pasadena since 1898. Designed by Frederick Roehrig in an alluring mixture of Moorish, Turkish and Victorian styles. The building is one of the most important and unique icons in all of Southern California. Certainly, the most exotic place in Pasadena.
There will be hourly talks in the ballroom about the history of the building.
The salons -the Grand Salon, Moorish and Turkish rooms along with the entry hall- are still in their original state, The Hotel Green was once a luxurious escape from the cold winters of the East and Midwest, it now is a private residence listed on the National Register for Historic Places.
This tour will be a self-guided one. It will include the ground floor, parts of the basement, the stunning rooftop view, and some very well appointed private apartments, allowed at their owner's discretion.
Light refreshments will be available on the lovely veranda. Please enjoy yourself and know that your support of this building goes to the restoration projects of the Friends of the Castle Green.
Please note the antique elevator will not be in service during the event. We are handicapable in all rooms of the first floor including the woman's restrooms, sunroom, grand salon, moorish and Turkish rooms, lobby, library and ballroom as well as from veranda and lawn. A ramp is located via the back driveway. Please contact us if you would like more information.

There are two Public Parking structures near the Castle Green with 90 minutes free; $6 max.
Street parking in area requires coins.
