"Carousel" - Tophat Miniature Stage Productions
Join Tophat Miniature Stage production for the premiere of the miniature stage version of Rodgers & Hammerstein's dark musical masterpiece, "CAROUSEL", with special guest artist, Mary Jordan Johnston Letellier. There are many dark themes and ideas the show explores including domestic violence, suicide, love, hope, disappointment and redemption.
Taking place in Maine, the story revolves around carousel barker Billy Bigelow, whose romance with millworker Julie Jordan comes at the price of both their jobs. He participates in a robbery to provide for Julie and their unborn child; after it goes tragically wrong, he is given a chance to make things right.
The show includes famous songs such as "If I Loved You", "June Is Busting Out All Over", "Mister Snow", "When The Children Are Asleep", "A Real Nice Clambake", "What's the Use of Wondr'nin", "Soliloquy" and of course the powerful ballad, "You'll Never Walk Alone". Come to Mayo Street Arts to see this classic show like you have never seen it before. Watch Mary Letellier and David Worobec (owner of Tophat Productions), as they bring this show to life in miniature.
