Musica Maestrale welcomes back Seattle recorder virtuoso Miyo Aoki for a concert of Italian and English music of the Baroque, spanning two centuries. The program explores the development of the virtuosic style of recorder playing in Italy, its export to England by Italian composers, and the adoption of the style by English composers. Composers presented include Pandolfi, Uccelini, Corelli, Geminiani, Locke, and Williams. Accompanying Miyo are Polly Gibson on second recorder and viola da gamba, and Hideki Yamaya on theorbo.
