Passover Journey with Rabbi Tirzah Firestone
Our venerable Jewish lineage has accrued much wisdom over the past 3,000 years, and, as a result of repeated historical trauma, many wounds too. Both recent science and our intuition tell us that traumatic wounds leave impressions that continue to ripple across time. When left unexamined, they may crystalize into painful family patterns, negatively affecting generations down the line.
This Passover, a special time for metaphorical liberation, skilled guide Reb Tirzah Firestone leads the Metivta community on a transformational journey to cull family and Jewish tribal legacies for their positive, life-giving gifts and recognize detrimental patterns we may have inherited so that we can work to repair them.
A day of Torah, guided meditation, chanting, personal transformation, and storytelling, with Rev Tirzah. Please bring a journal, a tallit, and a photo or relic from your ancestry. A copy of Reb Tirzah's new book, "Wounds into Wisdom: Healing Intergenerational Jewish Trauma" (a $30 value), is included in the retreat price, in addition to a vegetarian lunch. Price: Early-Bird Registration (until April 6): $85; After April 6: $95.
