KEVIN SHEWEY in What I'm Not
WHAT I'M NOT is Kevin Shewey's cheeky exploration of learning that the only way to know what the right choice is is to make the wrong one a few times. This show is a self-effacing romp through anxiety, the hilarious flops of a career in storytelling, and how weird being homeschooled was through the music of Jeanine Tesori, Jason Robert Brown, Frank Sinatra, Lerner and Loewe, and many other favorites both old and new. Kevin will tell stories and sing songs that have influenced, made him laugh, and taught him whats important.
Kevin has worked as an actor, stage manager, producer, and director in Los Angeles, New York, and across the country. While hes tried living a couple other places, nothing feels quite like home the way LA does. LA Theater: She Loves Me, The 39 Steps, and Violet at The Actors Co Op. Regional: Henry V and Our Town at Chautauqua Theatre Company, The Odd Couple and Present Laughter at Summer Repertory. Off Broadway: Midsummer Night's Dream at New York Classical, The Lion The Witch and and the Wardrobe at Theatreworks USA. Kevin has a BA in Theatre Arts from Azusa Pacific and an MFA in Acting from UC Irvine.
