Battle of the Ukulele Bands

Join us at the Battle of the Ukulele Bands, a fun celebration of ukulele music and fundraiser for the Ukulele Kids Club (UKC), the charity that donates ukuleles to hospitalized children for music therapy.

The event will be held on April 20 at the historic, 895-seat Portsmouth Music Hall at 2:00PM.

Local groups and individuals have signed up on our competitive fundraising board to earn a slot to perform in a classic "Battle of the Bands" format - with the ukulele. To date, weve raised over $10,000 in pledges.

To add to the excitement, we've enlisted a growing team of Celebrity Judges, including comedian Juston McKinney, WMUR personality Sean McDonald, world-famous musician Tom Rush, Hawaiian ukulele maestro Kimo Hussey, Gary "Creekman " Sredzienski, Steve Roy, and more.

The UKC is a nonprofit organization that provides free instruments and supports music therapy for hospitalized children. The group partners with more than 200 hospitals in the U.S. and worldwide, including the Wentworth-Douglass in Dover, the Elliott in Manchester, and Childrens Hospital in Boston.
