Grab some friends and sign up for this fun Oxford original painting! This is an Oxford version of the famous masterpiece Starry Night painting by Dutch post-impressionist Vincent van Gogh. The original painting was done in June 1889, so we are going to paint Oxfords Starry Night in June as well! The painting was based on van Gogh's observations from his window looking down at the village, as well as his imagination, memories, and emotions. You will fill your own canvas with your imagination and emotions also, but you will be including Oxfords skyline! If you just want to paint your own version, that's ok too! In addition, you will learn fascinating tidbits about Vincent van Gogh that you never knew! (Beyond cutting off his ear!)
*Please note this is a 2-day class- attendance both days are necessary to finish this painting. The painting is VERY easy to do, it just takes time to put all those brush strokes on!

Brush & Bottle is a fun art studio for anyone interested in painting! You will be painting with acrylic paints on a 16x20 canvas, and Jan Hunsche will teach the class step by step through the painting process. Most of you will have no painting experience but all of you will have great success, guaranteed!
PAINTING PARTY CLASS - here is what you need to know:
*You must be registered for class prior to the event date - no observers allowed without registration.
*The class meets in the Art Room of the Oxford Community Art Center.
*Class begins PROMPTLY at start time indicated above! You need to arrive at least 10 minutes before the class start time. In consideration of the others in the class, if you arrive 15 minutes or more late you will not be allowed to paint and forfeit your registration fee.
*Walk-ins are not allowed at the time of class.
* You are welcome as much as 30 minutes before the start of class to enjoy some food, drink and socialize with friends before you get ready for the fun!
*All materials are provided: your canvas, paints, brushes, glasses(for your BYOB), and the corkscrew! The step-by-step instruction will help you to create this painting you see before you.
* Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting paint on; the paint is acrylic and permanent on fabric . . . even though aprons are supplied, spills and splatters can happen!
*Classes are 2-3 hours long, depending on the art chosen.
*Brush & Bottle Cancellation Policy applies to all classes:
48 hours or more = refund.
48 hours or less = studio credit.
4 hours or less from class time = no refund/credit.
*You must be 21 yrs. old to consume alcoholic beverages in our studio.
**NO Hard Alcohol Allowed, NO EXCEPTIONS Please** Please drink responsibly.
BYOB and Munchies!
The studio is all BYOB - we only serve paint water! Feel free to bring in your favorite beverage (adult beverages limited to beer/wine* or premix pouches) and some light snacks to enjoy during class! There will be ice, wine openers and glasses for your use. A large table will be set up for you to put your snacks, etc. on. Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods are best!
* Again, you must be 21 yrs. old to consume alcoholic beverages in the studio.
