Music 'n More at Lily Pads
Rose Weaver depicts some of the life and times of Ethel Waters, the first African American female superstar, through the songs Miss Waters made famous. One of the greatest singer/actresses of all time, Ethel Waters was the second Black person to receive an Oscar Nomination after Hattie McDaniel, and made songs like Stormy Weather, Heat Wave and St. Louis Blues instant hits. Ethel has long fascinated Rose who brings her stories and songs together in this fun and revealing dramatization accompanied by Delbert Collins on piano.
