Join us for an invitation-only webinar with Ella Andrews, creator of the Hero's Narrative
Wednesday, July 10th
from 11:00am-1:00pm
at the home of Don Katz and Rebecca Krantz, 2116 Jefferson Street, Madison WI

Ella Andrews will present a live webinar on her Hero's Narrative project that has been used by everyone from MomsRising to the Obama campaign. The Hero's Narrative tells a values-based story that rises above issues and yet works in everyday campaigns. It uses the elements of stories -- a quest and a threat, heroes and villains - to allow many different advocates to tell a common story that works to take back our country.

The webinar briefing includes:
- Definition of narrative vs message and how narrative speaks to the way our brains make decisions and helps us build power to achieve our larger goals.
- The six narrative elements: Quest, Threat, Hero, Hero's Tools, Villain, Villains Weapons
- How our opponents are using narrative structure
- An overview of the Hero's Narrative and who is already using it to make things better.
- A summary of implementation and goals for version 2 (in 2013)

Ella Andrews is Director of the Washington State Progressive Narrative Project. She has worked in progressive campaigns for 15 years, from organizing to campaign management to consulting for non-profits across the issue spectrum
