ABOUT THE COURSE:
3 Day Intensive: APRIL 19-21, 2019 The main focus for this worksop is Earthen and Lime Plasters and Paints. We will be learning about and getting extensive practice in both earthen and lime plastering and will also have a segment on Earthen paints. We will have the opportunity to create permanent art in the Fresco fashion! Resident cobber Brenda Quintero along with assistant teachers will be hands-on teaching about how to make cob and repair problems from weather damaged areas. We will also learn different styles of creating walls, doorways and special nooks. Special guest teacher to be announced!!
Our Workshop leaders will be guiding us through the basic building concepts for cob-over-pallets, and explain how this little structure was put together for our herb-drying house. Our aim is to learn about utilizing materials from the waste stream and building with natural, toxin-free materials to infill pallets and create a warm, cozy shelter or functional outbuilding. Cost for the full 3-day workshop with 3 days of camping is $275 and includes lunch daily and onsite camping at beautiful Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm located in Middletown, Lake County, CA.
