Babes With Blades presents: Swords for Rusty Broads (and Gents!)
Playing Gender: How do we instantly know a man is a man, or a woman is a woman? This day-long workshop will investigate the conscious and unconscious ways that men and women proclaim their gender in everyday interactions. Participants will then manipulate these subtle, non-verbal communications to adopt the "gender cues" of the opposite gender. The emphasis is not on how to "pass," but rather how to capture and portray the essence of masculine or feminine, in preparation for playing cross-gender roles.
