Alan Reid and Rob van Sante: Forward!
Alan Reid - founder member of Scotland's wildly successful Battlefield Band ( recently inducted into Scotland's Traditional Music Hall Of Fame!) with whom he toured the world for 41 years, releasing 30 albums in the process! - returns to LRFC for an encore performance for which he is again joined by Dutch (tho now Whitby, Yorkshire resident!) singer, guitarist and formidable sound engineer Rob van Sante whose resume includes such luminaries as Danny Thompson, Kate Rusby, John McCusker.
Introducing electric keyboards as an integral component of Scottish traditional music, Reid established a standard that in the intervening years has grown in significance and influence as contemporaries and younger musicians alike have added keyboards to their traditional music arsenals, thus ensuring both his own and Battlefield Band's stature amongst the pantheon of Scottish folk musicians and bands.
All sales are final. Tickets guarantee a seat until 7:15; late arrivals may have to sit at the bar.
