2018 ChiWIP Girl Scout IP Patch Event
Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP) will be hosting an event to help Brownie troops throughout Chicagoland attain both their Girl Scout Inventor Badge along with their IP Patch. Resulting from a partnership between the Girl Scout Council of the Nations Capital (GSCNC) and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) Association Education Foundation, the IP Patch for Girl Scouts was designed to increase awareness of the creation and protection of intellectual property across disciplines and particularly as it relates to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for girls of all ages. The ChiWIP Girl Scout IP Patch Event is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th from 9:00 11:00 am at TechNexus Venture Collaborative, 20 N. Upper Wacker Drive, #1200, Chicago IL 60606. If you are interested in volunteering for, sponsoring or registering your Brownie Scout for this event, please contact Anthoula Pomrening, akpomrening@gmail.com.
