Best known as a cofounder of the Grammy Award-winning progressive klezmer outfit the Klezmatics, Frank London's journey began in the horn section of the Klezmer Conservatory Band and has included work with dozens of other bands, including Hasidic New Wave, Nigunim Trio, and the Klezmer Brass Allstars. His projects have included the folk opera A Night in the Old Marketplace, seen at Yidstock 2017, and most recently Hatuey: Memory of Fire, his original Yiddish-Cuban opera, which the New York Times called "a compelling and eminently entertaining work of musical theater." Frank will explore how it all happened and what he has planned for the future in conversation with Seth Rogovoy.
