Immigration Today What Do We Hold in Common? Part 2 -- Ron Workman
Immigration has become a flash point in our politics. It is highly personal for a wide variety of reasons. It seems today that we rarely hear about the beliefs that bind us together as a nation. Day after day we are barraged by only disagreements rather than hearing about what we hold in common.
Can we find the over-arching values that bring us together?
This is the second class on this topic. At the first class Ron Workman, the instructor, provided to the participants key data that he had collected about immigration. This second class will be a round-table discussion about ways that our immigration system may be improved. We encourage those people who came to the first class to also come to this second class.
Ron Workman has taught several courses for LLCC and OLLI in current events and related histories for various economics and financial topics, and provided hands-on instruction in Microsoft Excel. He is a Certified Financial Planner professional, owner of Coastview Financial in Pismo Beach, and an LPL registered principal. Before returning to the Central Coast, Ron worked in Silicon Valley for 25 years where he held various management positions with high technology companies. He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo
