The Parakeet Experience and POW! Closing Party
Closing the festival this year is Margate-based artist Brigitte Aphrodite who performs with music from Quiet Boy. Enter a world of electronic punk, amazing music and exotic birds as they stage a snapshot of their brand new show.
The show is a fantastical tale of a young girls quest to make a new kind of punk: a gentler punk - punk with empathy. A genre-crossing feast for the eyes, ears and heart, expect punk poetry, sparkly-sharp fashion, wild dance moves and storytelling as the shows most riotous, fabulous and irresistible songs are performed.
The Parakeet Experience is followed by music from Thanets best loved women DJs and plenty of sparkle for the POW! closing party.
Please note that this event will be held in a part of the venue which is not wheelchair accessible.
