What Happened to Pluto and the Man In the Moon? An Update
Why was there a Big Bang instead of a Small Pop?
Are stars far away for a good reason, or are they just unfriendly?
Is the universe infinite beyond our imagination or just a figment of our imagination?
Come to this class, and ask your instructor any of these or other questions you might have about astronomy. Your instructor, Joseph Carro of the Central Coast Astronomical Society and faculty member of Cuesta College, will conduct a class on the History of Astronomy.
During the friendly, two hours of discussion, several interesting topics will be addressed including:
-- How did Astronomy get started? -- Who first thought of putting the Sun at the center of our Solar System? -- What was Galileo's contribution, money or what? -- Do I have to genuflect when I say the name of Newton? -- Why can't we see the other side of the Moon?
and, of course,
-- What happened to Pluto? Could it happen to us?
So, attend this class and have a good time.
