Needle Felting - Articulated Song Birds

Intermediate Needle Felting with Donna Jeanne Koepp

Songbirds are one of natures gifts. Join us in creating your own songbird to brighten gray days and display all year round. This class will introduce working with armatures.

The project is intermediate. Prior felting students and those who have needle felted before are welcome and encouraged.

In this class we will create Articulated Songbirds. We will start with a simple wire armature based on bird anatomy, needle felt the vanilla sketch and finish with color, eyes, wings and tail. All the wool material you need to make these charming creatures is provided as well as a selection of creative bases to display your bird. Please bring your own felting surface, needles, and shaping tools. For those who don't have them, loaner sets are available. If you choose to keep them, an additional $10 fee applies.

Needle felting is an easy and satisfying way to create three-dimensional objects. Animals, plants, birds, fantasy figures are all popular subjects for needle felting.

***This class assumes you have needle felted before and we will jump right in.***

Our workshops are appropriate for ages 12+
Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a full refund.
