Wind Turbine Workshop
The Rampion Wind Farm is not the final word in wind technology. That moment doesn't come until all the children and parents in Sussex have had a go at designing one themselves. Now is your chance to shine!
The challenge is to successfully power up the electrical equipment provided, beginning with an energy-lite buzzer, and ending with a power-hungry radio. As you can see from the VIDEO, there are a million ways to do it. So far we have experienced only five hundred. Come and learn about the clever ways we can tame the natural forces around us, and create the windmill of your mind.
We will be using hot glue guns, so please dress appropriately!
Dr Jonathan Hare is a multitalented physicist whose Creative Science workshops travel all over the World.
Richard Robinson started the Science Festival to do just exactly this kind of thing at it.
Workshops last one hour. You can take your creation home with you.
