The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe presented by the Soul Cafe Series at North Church
At the start of the play, Peter the eldest child, draws a white circle on the stage to differentiate the 'showing' from the 'telling'. In this circle, he and his youngest sister, Lucy, spin their tale of literally stumbling upon a new land called Narnia and fulfilling a long awaited prophecy. The heroic story takes the unforgettable Lewis characters through a life and death struggle for control of Narnia until the ultimate triumph of Aslan the Great Lion over the fearsome White Witch.
Performance length is about 50 minutes followed by a 'meet and greet' with the actors. Most appropriate for grades K-6. Youngsters and families willing to embrace the magic of 'make-believe' in lieu of CGI multi-million dollar special effects will have a blast.
