LOVE ALWAYS, MOM is a film that speaks to anyone and everyone with a dream and inspires us to never give up. Written, produced, and directed by Millburn-raised, Trish Gonnella Russo and Craig E. Shapiro. This film could not have been created without the generous support of many New Jersey natives. Filmed over the course of 3 years and even featuring locals/doctors, Dr. Stuart Leitner (oncologist at Saint Barnabas Medical Center) and Dr. Natalie Cekleniak (fertility specialist at IRMS Saint Barnabas). Trish, a Millburn High School alum who went to undergrad at Vassar College and subsequently USC Peter Stark's Producing Program, before working at companies such as Miramax Films and Walt Disney Motion Pictures before being diagnosed with breast cancer, returns for a HOMECOMING SCREENING of this award-winning documentary feature.
In 2018 LOVE ALWAYS, MOM won the Audience Award at its World Premiere at Geena Davis' Bentonville Film Festival and Best Documentary at the Catalina Film Festival. It has also been an official selection of DTLA Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Silicon Valley International Film Festival in San Francisco, and will go to the Nevada Women's Film Festival in Las Vegas this March.
It tells the tale of a stage 4 cancer survivor and her husband's controversial decision to have a child using an egg donor and a surrogate. With laughter and tears, we witness a mothers love letter to her unborn child and a never before seen look into cancer and infertility.
The Millburn screenings will benefit the 501(c)3 non-profit Trish created to fund the film and the 2019 screening tour, The Cyan Gray Hope Foundation. Proceeds beyond the film and screening tour will benefit cancer research and a grant to give support annually to a cancer survivor to build a family.
After Millburn, LOVE ALWAYS MOM will go onto Brooklyn, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Los Angeles, CA and more cities to be announced!

Q&A
Question: |
I am a survivor. Is there a discounted price for me? |
Answer: |
If you are a young metastatic breast cancer survivor, please email Trish@CyanGray.org or RussoTricia@gmail.com to request a ticket. We have some tickets set aside for survivors and we'll have more if folks sponsor survivor tickets. You can see that as one of the options. We encourage survivors to promote that option so we can distribute more tickets. Thanks! |
