I think its fair that most of us, even in our age group, cant imagine what itd be like to live without the internet. Remember that time you dropped your iPhone in the toilet and had to live without an internet-connected phone for a couple of days? Tough, right? (Yeah, I thought so) With the internet as ubiquitous as it is, how many of you have actually wondered what the internet is and how it works?
Those attending this class will receive a laymans understanding of the Internet with a minimum of nerdish jargon. You will get simple and usable explanations of web browsers, web crawlers, the Dark Web, algorithms, the search process and internet protocols. These subjects and more will be covered in a fast-paced, entertaining and irreverent manner that would make Al Gore proud.
Ed Cabrera has taught at Atascadero High School and, before that, at Perris High School (in Southern California). He also coached numerous sports and advised even more clubs in his career spanning four decades. A person of varied interests, he also handles most AV duties for LLCC.
