RMSB - Coppélia
This is a story of a young couple in love and the battle between idealism vs realism. The story begins with a young girl, Swanilda, who is engaged to Franz and plans to marry during the festival. Swanilda becomes unhappy with her fiancé because it seems he is more interested in getting another girls attention. The other girl is Coppélia who sits on the toy-maker Dr. Coppeliuss balcony reading all day long. Franz is mesmerized by her beauty and is determined to get her attention. Swanilda is deeply hurt by his distractions and feels he does not love her.
When Dr. Coppelius leaves his house, Swanilda finds his keys and is determined to find out more of Coppélia. She and her friends decide to go inside Dr. Coppeliuss house. Meanwhile, Franz develops his own plan to meet Coppélia. The rest of the story unfolds with drama and dance; however, ultimately true love conquers all.
