Girls Only Prom

The Girls Only Prom is about inclusiveness, celebration, sisterhood, and the power of women getting together. The brainchild of local photographer, Lisa Blackmore, Girls Only Prom was created to be a safe and welcoming environment for women to dance with each other without worry. Lisa was inspired by watching the fun women have dancing together at weddings.

Rebuilding Hope (RH), the Sexual Assault center for Pierce County, is excited to take over in its second year to carry on this powerful event. Rebuilding Hope exists to serve victim-survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Through this shared vision we invite you to come out and have and great time while also supporting victim/survivors of sexual violence.

Girls Only Prom will have an amazing female DJ, DJ Mixtress, who will only be spinning tunes that are respectful to women.

The prom is going to be a dream come true! Blackmore promises.
